Abstract

1,202,210. Hook fastenings. ARMSTRONG CORK CO. Ltd. 22 Nov., 1967 [22 Nov., 1966], No. 52265/66. Heading E2A. [Also in Division F4] A lighting fitting 7 is supported above and spaced from the support members (2, not shown) of a suspended ceiling by brackets 8 which depend from the fitting and rest on the members, each bracket being detachably secured to the fitting by means of a plurality of tabs 9, 10 which project from the wall of the fitting and engage in corresponding apertures 11 in the bracket, at least one tab extending in the upward direction and at least one other extending downwardly. A keep plate 15 may be inserted between the tab 10 and the bracket to prevent accidental disengagement. The lower ends 12 of the brackets 8 are forked to engage with the support members which are of inverted T-shaped section. In a modification the tabs are provided on the brackets and the apertures are formed in the fitting.
