Fire-bridges; grates.-An air-supplying firebridge as described in the parent Specification, consisting of circular rings 16 loosely mounted on a perforated blast tube 6, in connexion with an endless grate, is combined with an inclined partition wall 21 formed of movable elements, and with an ash-discharging door 32. Ashes are thus removed, and the excess of air from under the grate, from the air-supplying fire-bridge, and from the ash hopper, is prevented from passing to the boiler-zone.
