Abstract
1,200,057. Pile fabrics; finishing fabrics. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. 11 March, 1968 [9 Jan., 1967], No. 1156/67. Headings D1K and D1S. Cut-pile fabric employs pile yarns made of heat-settable synthetic filaments or staple fibre, the yarns being plied from singles that are alike or that differ in denier, twist, and/or coherence. The fabric is heat-set in the piece, for example during dyeing, and the pile is then cut by shearing. In the Examples, the pile is of nylon 66 and is produced by tufting, the back of the fabric being then coated with latex.
