Abstract

1,199,876. Cathode ray tubes. MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO. Ltd. 26 June, 1968 [11 July, 1967], No. 30496/68. Heading H1D. [Also in Division C7] A Lenard window is sealed to an intermediate metal member which in turn is sealed to the glass envelope of a cathode ray tube used for recording on a record medium, the intermediate member have the same expansion coefficient as the glass. In one arrangement, Fig. 1 (not shown) the intermediate member is sealed to a glass face plate by means of glass frit and is provided with an aperture aligned with an aperture in the face plate. In another arrangement, Fig. 2 (not shown), the intermediate member forms the face plate and is sealed to a conical part of the glass envelope.
