A cutting oil concentrate comprises mineral oil and 0À01-10 wt. per cent of molybdenum disulphide having a particle size of 0À001-20 microns and 1-40% of a water- and oil-soluble ammonium, sodium or potassium sulphonate of mol. wt. 300-450. The cutting oil emulsion may contain 3-10% of the concentrate and a minor amount of sodium nitrite, phosphate and carbonate.
