Abstract

1332473 Oil dispersants KAO SOAP CO Ltd 24 Sept 1970 [26 Sept 1969] 45543/70 Heading C2C [Also in Divisions C4-C5] The invention relates to oil-soluble dispersants consisting of alkaline earth metal salts of alkylphenosulphonic acids preferably in which the alkylphenol of the alkylphenosulphonic acid has a molecular weight of 200 to 800 and the chain length of alkyl radical of the alkylphenol is C8 to C50. Preferably the alkaline earth metal is magnesium, calcium or barium and the salts may be in the form of a neutral or an overbased salt.
