Abstract

1275757 Treating oily liquids ENTWICKLUNGS-UND FORSCHUNGS-ANSTALT 19 May 1969 [27 May 1968] 26426/69 Heading C1C Oil is separated from aqueous mixtures by adding a ferric salt and an alkali metal hydroxide while maintaining the pH from 5À5 to 6À5 and separating the water and oil. Further oil is added either simultaneously with or separately from the hydroxide. Other flocculating agents may be added.
