Abstract

1,188,394. Treating sewage sludge. FOSECO INTERNATIONAL Ltd. 6 Dec., 1968 [6 Dec., 1967], No. 55471/67. Heading C1C. Sewage sludge is treated with an inorganic coagulating agent, e.g. ferrous sulphate, and an organic flocculating agent, e.g. polyacrylamide, in admixture, as a preliminary step in the dewatering of sewage sludge. Lime may also be added in order to adjust the pH to about 10.
