Abstract

1,198,019. 4-Aminobenzoic acid amides. DEUTSCHE GOLDUND SILBERSCHEIDEANSTALT. 6 Dec., 1968, No. 58043/68. Heading C2C. Novel 4-aminobenzoic acid amides of the formula in which R 2 is C 2-6 alkyl or C 2-6 alkenyl, and R 3 is H or C 1-6 alkyl or C 2-6 alkenyl, whereby R 2 can be CH 3 where R 3 is an alkyl group in the 3- position, and acid addition salts by reducing the corresponding 4-nitrobenzoic acid amide, or by reacting 4-aminobenzoic acid or reactive derivative thereof with the corresponding aniline or by reacting an acylated 4-aminobenzoic acid or reactive derivative thereof with the corresponding aniline and deacylating the resulting product. Pharmaceutical compositions, having antiphlogistic and analgesic activity and suitable for enteral, parenteral, oral or perlingual administration, contain the above novel compounds in admixture with one or more other active ingredients and, if desired, pharmaceutically acceptable carriers or diluents.
