Abstract

1,196,492. Measuring angles. KINDERLORE PROP. Ltd. July 4, 1968 [Nov. 7, 1967], No.50511/67. Heading G1X. An instrument for measuring angles in a threedimensional space co-ordinate system comprises a flat base 1 with a semi-circular angular scale 2, a scale 3 being hinged to the base 1 at 8, and a ruler 5 with a slit 7 to pass over the scale 3, the rule seating in a swivel device 4 on the base 1. In an alternative construction, the arcuate scale 3 is removable from the base and has an arm which engages in a slot in the swivel device 4. In a further alternative the base is circular with a central swivel device shaped to accommodate a semicircular protractor and a slotted ruler fitting over the protractor. The instrument is preferably made of a clear plastics material, e.g. polystyrene, but may be of metal or other material.
