A fast reactor tank, 1, has a thin, stainless steel roof, 2, which deforms under normal pressure variations and which breaks under abnormal pressure excursions. The roof is reinforced by the beams, 4, secured by the loosely fitting clamps 5. Heat insulation, 3, covers the roof 2.
