Abstract

1,195,529. Centrifugal winding drum. JOH. KLEINEWEFERS SOHNE. 5 March, 1969 [15 March, 1968], No. 11688/69. Heading D1L. The marginal regions of a perforated drum 3 which are uncovered by textile material wound on the drum are sealed by a longitudinally adjustable pair of concentric annular pneumatic hoses 9 and 10, the material being treated with liquid or gas supplied to the interior of the drum via apertures 6 in a hollow rotary shaft 5. The hoses 9 and 10 rest on annular platforms 11 and 12, are retained by annular discs 13 and 18 held together by bolts 19 and are axially adjustable along threaded spindles 15. The spindles may be attached to detachable end plates 20 and move along sleeves 16 welded to discs 13 and extending axially into the chamber. Three or four spindles are arranged symmetrically round the drum and may be provided with sprockets 23 connected to a chain drive 24 which ensures parallel movement of the seals during adjustment.
