Abstract

1,195,357. Neoprene rubber compositions. POLYMER CORP. Ltd. 18 Feb., 1969 [5 March, 1968], No. 8707/69. Heading C3P. A composition comprises a major amount of a chloroprene polymer and a minor amount of a rubbery copolymer of a 2-alkyl-butadiene-1,3 and an acrylic nitrile. The examples show a composition of neoprene and a copolymer of isoprene and acrylonitrile. The compositions may also contain fillers, e.g. carbon black and clay, and plasticizers, e.g. petroleum oil and dioctyl phthalate, and are vulcanizable.
