Abstract

1,194,184. Convertable step ladders. RACOLE TRADING & MFG. CO. Ltd. 12 July, 1967 [14 July, 1966; 15 March, 1967], Nos. 31733/66 and 12235/67. Heading A6L. A ladder which can be converted into a step ladder has hinged hollow stiles which can be locked in their linear configuration by means of spigot members 5 operable via pins 6 to slide into the adjacent stile section. The rings may comprise additional tubes 8 welded thereto, or alternatively may consist of two tubes welded on either side of the stiles with an elongate filler member clipped therebetween The rungs may alternatively comprise rods or rigid wires.
