Abstract

1,193,863. Builders' hoists. COUMO. 25 April, 1967 [25 April, 1966; 3 Nov., 1966], No. 18919/67. Heading B8H. The guide of a guided hoist for use in building operations comprises a plurality of rectilinear sections and at least one arcuate section comprising two articulated parts 7, 8 which are relatively adjustable by means of turnbuckles 9 1 , 9 2 and which are connected to the rectilinear sections by pin and sleeve connections 5, 6 secured by further turnbuckles. A winch is provided to raise a load-carrying trolley, Figs. 1, 6 (not shown) and is mounted on a support which may be hooked on to any of the track cross-members. Telescopic stays, Fig. 8 (not shown) are provided between the guide and the wall of the building adjacent which the hoist is arranged. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,119,460.
