119,374. Smith, R. Wyatt-, and Stone, T. N. Jan. 14, 1918. Rollers, land.-A land-presser for use behind a plough to press the furrows between the ridges is provided with road wheels 1, 1<a> so that it may be drawn on the road as a trailer by a mechanical tractor, the frame of the presser being provided with a box 6 in which the stores for the tractor may be placed. The presser wheels 2, 2<a>, 2b are of the form shown and may be adjusted along the axle to suit the width of furrow. When used as a land presser, one road wheel is removed, the other road wheel being left as a guide-wheel to travel in the open furrow. A presser wheel may take the place of the removed road wheel. Increased pressure on the ground may be obtained by placing weights in the box 6.
