Abstract

1,191,512. Lappet holders. CRABTREE ENG. GROUP (COLNE) Ltd. 17, Jan., 1969 [25 Oct., 1967], No. 48486/67. Heading D1D. A lappet holder for a textile spinning machine comprises a one piece injection moulded component 10 of plastics material (preferably polypropylene) having a laterally disposed cut away portion 10a leaving a band 11 which can act as a flexible hinge link between part 10b which is secured directly or indirectly to the machine frame and part 10c which carries or is adapted to carry yarn guide means 14. The guide means 14 may be carried in a seating of an arm 13, 19 which is either adjustably secured to part 10c or integrally moulded therewith. The arm may carry detector means (e.g. a light sensitive cell 25 and a light source 24) adjacent the yarn guide means. Part 10b may be attached directly by screws to the machine frame or through a second injection moulded plastics component 17 to which it is attached by complementary mating parts 17b which can permit lateral movement between the parts which can then be locked by screws in a desired position.
