Abstract

1,190,047. Nickel-chromium-iron alloys. INTERNATIONAL NICKEL Ltd. Aug. 14, 1968 [Aug.18, 1967], No.38280/67. Heading C7A. Alloys particularly suitable for parts that are exposed in use for prolonged periods at elevated temperatures to stress in the presence of fuel ash and gaseous combustion products of S- containing fuels consist, in percent by weight, of Si and Mn impurities should not exceed 1% each. The alloys may be stress relieved/solutiontreated at 900‹ -1250‹ C. and, in the latter case, aged at 600‹ -850‹ C. Specified applications are superheater tubes of steam boilers, parts of petrochemical installations, heat-exchangers such as recuperators in steel plants, and furnace parts.
