1,186,644. Capacitors; printed circuit assemblies. CONDENSATEURS FRIBOURG S.A. 7 June, 1968 [9 June, 1967], No. 27334/68. Headings H1M and H1R. A capacitor incorporating series or parallel resistance comprises two superimposed strips of insulating material at least one of which has two distinct metallized zones connected by a resistance. As shown, insulating strips (21), (22) (Fig. 2b, not shown) have offset metallized areas 23, 24 constituting the capacitor electrodes, and separate metallized strips 25, 26 along the bare edge portions connected to the electrodes by resistances 29, 30 so that when the arrangement is rolled to form a wound capacitor and the end faces metallized, a capacitor with two parallel resistances is obtained. By offsetting the insulating strips, a wound capacitor with two series resistances is obtained (Figs. 4a, 4b, not shown). In an alternative construction one insulating strip may be unmetallized and the other metallized on both sides.
