An electrical connector for temporarily connecting electronic components for testing comprises a Y-shaped member 4 pivoting on a stud 5b and guided by pins 5 engaging slots 9 in a member 2 which is secured to a base 1, the members being urged together by a spring 7. Along each of the jaws are insulated contact areas A, B, C, D, between which the leads 12 of the component are gripped. Connections are made to the contact areas by screened cable. An additional screen 13 is situated between the cables.
