Abstract

1,184,307. Injection moulding. W. SCHAEFFLER, and G. SCHAEFFLER, [trading as INDUSTRIEWERK SCHAEFFLER oHG.]. 9 Aug., 1968 [12 Aug., 1967], No. 38123/68. Heading B5A. The outlet 2 of an injection nozzle 1 is closed by a valve member 3 slidable in a guide 11 and forced against the outlet by cup springs 4; the member has a bore 13 and is retracted to open the outlet by the pressure of moulding material in the nozzle space 7, fed thereto from an injection cylinder via bores 10. Moulding material which penetrates into the space 8 via the bore 13 when the nozzle is closed joins with the main flow via an outlet 14 when the nozzle is opened. Annular grooves 6 are provided in the valve member.
