Abstract

1,183,802. 3-Cyanato-steroids. JENAPHARM, VEB. 2 Jan., 1969, No. 242/69. Heading C2U. Novel 3-cyanato-steroids of the 1,3,5(10)- estratriene series are prepared by reacting the corresponding 3-ols with BrCN. The novel steroids are said to show a strong estrogenic effect, and may be made up with carriers into pharmaceutical compositions for oral or parenteral administration.
