Abstract
Triamcinolone and its 16,17-acetonide are esterified to form the novel 21-pantothenates, 21 - (2,5 - dihydroxybenzoates), 21 - (2,4,6 - trimethoxybenzoates) and 21-(3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoates) thereof. The said 21-esters are stated to possess antiinflammatory activity and may be made up with carriers into pharmaceutical compositions for oral, rectal and topical administration.
