Abstract
1,182,372. Valves. PAUL WITT AUTOGENTECHNIK. 12 June, 1968, No. 27851/68. Heading F2V. A safety device for a fuel gas duct in cutting or welding equipment comprises a non-return gas valve 2, a flame trap 3, a pressure release valve 4 located between the gas outlet 5 and the flame trap, and a valve slide 6 which runs in a guide 8 and is sealed by a diaphragm 13 to the valve body, a passage 21, 10 being opened for the fuel gas when a shoulder 11 is separated from a seating 26 in the non-return valve by gas pressure on the upper face of the diaphragm 13. The application of back pressure to the diaphragm 13 engages the shoulder 11 with the seating 26 and raises a pin 30 to operate a release catch 29 for a main inlet valve 35 which is engaged with its seat 36 by a spring 34.
