Abstract

1,182,043. Bags. CANADIAN INDUSTRIES Ltd. 16 Oct., 1968 [7 Nov., 1967], No. 49099/68. Heading B8K. [Also in Division F3] A double-ply thermoplastics bag, e.g. of polyethylene, for containing a blasting explosive charge is provided with slits 6 and 7 in each ply through which detonating means 9 can be passed, the slits being close together but not superimposed or in contact with each other. The planes of the slits are at 90 degrees to each other. The bag is heat-sealed at the bottom end 4 and closed at the top by a wire tie, tape or string 5. The heat-sealed bag corners are furnished with a gusset. The bag is made by heat-sealing together two concentric tubes, or by inserting one bag inside another.
