[Also in Division F2] A laminated vibration absorbing pad comprises a number of layers a, a<SP>1</SP> of needled fabric impregnated with a vinyl plastics composition and one or more layers b of cellular rubber granules or foamed rubber embedding in a vinyl plastics compound arranged between certain of the laminations a<SP>1</SP>. The pad is provided with outside faces d<SP>1</SP> which are of fibre-free vinyl plastics composition and have rectangularshaped depressions d<SP>2</SP> therein which form suction pockets. The layers b are made by mixing rubber with P.V.C. plastisol in controlled proportions, moulding the mix under the action of heat and pressure, and by cooling in a controlled cycle to cure the P.V.C. around the rubber particles or cells.
