Abstract

1,180,348. False-twist apparatus. ATELIERS ROANNAIS DE CONSTRUCTIONS TEXTILES. 9 May, 1968 [9 May, 1967], No. 22094/68. Heading D1D. The false twist tube of a magnetic false twist assembly has in its median portion a pair of orifices 2, 5 through the tube wall which are equally axially spaced from the centre of the tube. The orifices are highly polished and are located on diametrically opposite sides of the tube, each orifice preferably having a corresponding aperture 3, 4 to serve for dynamic balancing of the tube. The tube may have an outer sleeve 14 of sintered material in which are formed the apertures. Sintered material cylindrical inserts 29 and 32 are located in passages 22, 27 in the central tube. The yarn passes up through lower end of bore 31, out through aperture 19, makes a quarter helical turn round sleeve 14, passes through a central passage 20, makes a further quarter helical turn, and passes up through aperture 16 and out through top of bar 31.
