An inductive transducer comprises two coils 7, 8 mounted along a common axis on respective non-magnetic formers 9, 10 secured at their outer ends to a housing 1 and a core 5, or a third coil, carried by diaphragms 2, 3, or springs, and a pushrod 4 which moves in response to changes in a non-electric variable such as tensile or compressive force, differential pressure, relative elongation and acceleration. Such a construction reduces errors due to non-uniform temperature variations.
