Abstract
1,178,713. Photographic processes. W. ZINDLER [trading as LUMOPRINT ZINDLER K.G.], Jan.30, 1967 [Feb. 10, 1966], No.4522/67. Heading G2C. In a silver salt diffusion transfer process a silver halide emulsion is imagewise exposed and developed and then contacted with an imagereceiving sheet which has been wetted with a solution containing a silver halide solvent, nucleiforming substances and at least one reducing and/ or stabilizing agent selected from ascorbic acid, hydroquinone, pyrocatechol, aminophenol, aminophenol and pyrazolidone derivatives, hydroxylamine hydrochloride, methyl-p-aminophenosulphate, salicylic acid and phthalic acid so that the image produced on the image-receptor sheet is denser (if a reducing agent is used) or stabilized (if an acid is used) by the neutralization of alkali. Specified nuclei-forming substances are auric trichloride and hexachloroplatinic acid. The invention also relates to a liquid comprising, a nuclei-forming substance, a silver halide solvent and ascorbic acid which may be applied to the image-receiving sheet.
