1,177,812. Niobium addition agent. UNION CARBIDE CORP. Feb.13, 1967 [Feb.15, 1966], No.6705/67. Headings C7A and C7D. Niobium is incorporated in molten metal (e.g. low carbon or stainless steels or Ni or Co base alloys) by addition thereto of a ferro-niobium alloy consisting of:- Nb 40-80% Ti up to 0À1% maximum Ta up to 20% Si up to 10% Al up to 5% C up to 10% Mn up to 5% and Fe 10-55% The solution rate of the alloy is increased compared with prior art addition agents by the limitation of the maximum Ti content to 0À1%,
