Abstract

1,177,784. Wall panels. SKOGSAGARNAS INDUSTRI A.B. 26 Jan., 1967, No. 3857/67. Heading B1W. A wall panel comprises facing sheets 1 of wood chip-board or fibre board, with vertically-extending channels 3 therethrough, defined by corrugated cardboard strips 2, some of which channels house load-bearing studs 4 which are connected to upper and lower loadbearing rails 6 and 5 (Fig. 1, not shown) fixed to the surrounding structure, the upper rail being spaced from the upper edges of the facing sheets, which are nailed to the studs half-way up the panels to serve as a restraint against buckling of the studs. The sheets 1 are nailed to the lower rail 5.
