Abstract

1,263,459. Building panels. D. J. HAINES. 25 Feb., 1969 [8 March, 1968], No. 11380/68. Heading E1B. A building panel comprises front and rear sheets 10 spaced by two opposed side walls 12, at the corner lines of intersection of which each wall has a ledge 15 on which are projections such as dovetail grooves 18 for receiving connecting strip 14. In a modification (Fig. 2, not shown) the projections are of circular section and the connecting strip engages only those projections which are in outwardly facing ledges. The panels which are openended may be filled with insulation or concrete, they may be of plastics, wood or steel sheet. Front to rear panel strengthening ribs may be provided.
