Abstract

1,176,078. Woven or non-woven fabric for sacks. SAKAI KASEI KOGYO K.K. 5 July, 1967 [6 July, 1966], No. 31073/67. Headings D1K and D1R. Sacking is made from strips slit from synthetic sheet which has been re-heated and stretched to six or nine times its original length. Two layers of the strips, disposed at right angles to each other, may be bonded together, or the strips may be used as warp and weft in a woven fabric (the strips being kept flat). The fabric may be roughened by applying adhesive and scattering grains of synthetic material on it to prevent the sacks from slipping when stacked. In the case of woven fabric, the sheet may be roughened before slitting to prevent the warp and weft from slipping.
