Abstract

A bandage comprises two sheets of fabric secured to opposite sides of a layer of foamed plastics material, the exposed faces of the fabrics each being provided with a plurality of upstanding elements the elements on one face being arranged to be releasable engageable with elements upstanding from the other face. The elements on one face may be hook like elements and those on the other face loop elements. One fabric may be knitted. The fabrics may be secured together by adhesive or by stitching. The fabric with the hook like elements may extend across one end or along one edge of the foamed plastics layer. A dressing may be secured to the bandage.
