Abstract

1,174,376. Dental syringes. SIEMENS A.G. 17 June, 1968 [15 June, 1967], No. 28835/68. Heading A5R. A dental instrument, for delivering jets and or sprays of air, water and a medicament, consists of three portions. The first portion, which includes a handle, comprises air and water supply and control means. The second portion, which may be directly fixed to the first portion, consists of a nozzle. The third portion, which is in part mounted between the other portions, contains means to permit air and water to flow through this portion and be controllably mixed with medicament. The first portion-1 contains air and water ducts 11, 12 and these have therein valves controlled by members 7 and 8. The third portion 3 includes a medicament container 34, and rain and water may pass from the first to the second portion through the ducts 13, 14. Air pressure, controllable by a valve, is utilised to force medicament up the tube 30 into the water duct 14. The medicament/water/air flows pass into the second or nozzle portion 4 which includes a device 15 for fixing together the three portions.
