Abstract

1,173,475. Hangers for sliding doors. F. ZIEGLER. 27 Sept., 1967 [29 Sept., 1966], No. 44069/67. Heading E1J. A hanger 2 e.g. of polyamide, particularly for thin sliding doors 1. of furniture comprises an upper portion 5 guided by shoulders 5a. of the upper portion 5 in a runner rail 3 and a tapped bore 9 and with its axis perpendicular to the lower portion 4 and which is inserted into a bore 7 in the door which is clamped between the lower portion 4 and the head 8 of a screw screwable into the tapped bore 9. The upper portion 5 merges via an oblique face 12 on the side facing the door, into the lower portion 4 which is offset relatively to the suspension control plane M and the oblique portion 12 engages in a corresponding recess in the door. Shoulder 5a on the side of the lower portion 4 forms with the upper end face 4c of the portion 4 and groove 11 in which the flange 3a of the runner rail 3 engages with a small degree of play and restricts the tilting of the hanger. The door is also guided, underneath by a U-shaped holder one limb engaging in a groove in the bottom of the door and the other limb engaging a surface of the door.
