Abstract

1,173,135. Plate racks. WIRAX WIREWARES Ltd. 18 April, 1967 [19 April, 1966], No. 17031/66. Heading A4R. A collapsible plate rack includes two end frames 10, 11 maintained in spaced apart relationship by two independent tiers releasably connected to the frames 10, 11. As shown, threaded ends 25 of the tiers pass through washers 27 on the frames 10, 11 and are engaged by wing nuts or threaded knobs (30). A drip tray 35 is supported on end frame loop 40. The rack components may be plastics covered. The rack may be wall mounted or free standing. In a modification the tiers are hinged by hooks to the rear of the rack and releasably supported in their lowered, operative position by interengaging formations on the frames 10, 11 and the fronts of the tiers.
