Abstract

1,169,090. Pallets. INTEROVEN Ltd. 7 Oct., 1968 [9 Nov., 1967], No. 51076/67. Heading B8H. A pallet comprises four equi-length edge members 11-14 joined together in a closed frame, each edge member has a socket 15, 16 at each end thereof which sockets are connected to the adjacent socket such that the axes of the sockets lie in two parallel planes, and side-walls 25 each with two spigots 31 to be received in the sockets 15, 16 of one of the edge members. The edge members 11-14 are braced by members 20 and in-filled by welded mesh (not shown). The walls comprise uprights 26, 27 with the spigots 31; longitudinal members 28, 29 and detachable wire mesh panels 35. The walls may be positioned on opposite sides or ends of the pallet or on an adjacent side and end, and in the latter case a pillar 45 may be positioned in a socket diagonally opposite the adjoining corner of the walls. Feet 19 are provided on the lower end of the sockets 16.
