Abstract

1,169,052. Reflector constructions. GEORGE WHITEHOUSE & CO. (BIRMINGHAM) Ltd. 14 Aug., 1968 [21 Aug., 1967], No. 38392/67. Addition to 1,071,638. Heading F4R. The fluorescent light fitting of Specification 1,071,638 is modified so as to be easily dismantleable, the straps 12 of spring metal comprising a pair of arcuate elements 16, being joined by a bridge piece 17, by bolts, and each element having two clips 18, 19, in which the channels 11 supporting the reflectors are held by snap-engagement. Brackets 26 may be provided to suspend the fitting from its support, or a keyhole 28 in the bridge 17 may be used. The lamp is mounted between the two reflectors which are made of a flexible material such as thin card or plastics coated with a reflective substance. The flared lips 14 of the channels 11 allow the reflectors to be easily mounted.
