A light fitting comprises a frame consisting of two pairs of parallel channel-shaped members 6 connected by transverse straps 7 and a pair of reflectors 12 of thin card or plastics material coated with a reflective substance or surface treated so as to be reflective, engaged in the channel members 6. The straps 7 are arcuate at the parts supporting the reflectors and formed with intermediate inwardly spaced flat portions 10 for securing to a box containing the control gear for a tubular discharge lamp mounted on the box.
