Sodium and potassium percarbonates; calcium peroxide.-Solid alkali percarbonates are obtained by adding a salting-out means such as sodium chloride or potash to the solutions obtained by treating an alkaline earth hydrated peroxide with an alkali bicarbonate. The mother liquor may be treated for the recovery of alkaline earth peroxide for use again; for instance calcium peroxide may be obtained by adding caustic soda and calcium chloride.
