Abstract
1,165,357. Lubricating. P & M CO. (ENGLAND) Ltd. 16 Nov., 1967 [17 Nov., 1966], No. 51640/66. Addition to 967,900. Heading F2A. The railway track switch lubricating or deicing apparatus of Specification 967,900 is modified by provision of a delivery tube 10 which delivers lubricant or fluid from the pump, is fastened to a rail, and has outlets in its wall. In Fig. 1, tube 10 is located between web 3 and rail head 4 by clips (16, Fig. 2, not shown) which fit around tube 10 and have portions clamped between spacer 15 and web 3 by bolt 8. The outlets are formed by pin holes in plugs (12) of resilient material which are inserted in openings in tube 10. The pin holes are normally closed, but open on increase in lubricant pressure on operation of the pump. Alternatively, delivery tubes could be fitted to the switch rail 6. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,013,502.
