Abstract
1,164,233. Fluid regulation. STAHLWERKE BRUNINGHAUS G. m. b. H. July 21, 1967 [Aug. 17, 1966], No.33679/67. Heading G3H. A fluid throttling device comprises a tube 3 having an outlet 11a from which fluid issues against a diaphragm 10a carried by a member 7a which can be screwed in or out of block 6a to adjust gap 5a. A bore 14a admits fluid at the reduced pressure to the rear of the diaphragm so that its movement is determined by the pressure difference between the throttled and unthrottled fluid. A similar throttle is provided at the other end of casing 1 to operate when fluid is directed to port 5a instead of port 5. Under these conditions the tube 3 is moved to the right by the pressure of the fluid to set throttle gap S and open gap Sa. The tube 3 is of brass and the casing 1 is of nickel-iron alloy to compensate for temperature rises.
