Abstract
1408237 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems BAILEY METER CO 19 Jan 1973 [2 Feb 1972] 2931/73 Heading G3P [Also in Division F2] In a timing apparatus 10, closure of a valve 26 by an input signal isolates a timing chamber 40 from a fluid supply 24 so that the timing chamber is evacuated through a vent 54 and a magnet 42 attracts a ferromagnetic flapper 58 to increase the pressure in a duct 68 and provide an output signal delayed with respect to the input signal. When the valve 26 is again opened, fluid flows into the chamber 40 to compress a spring 44 and, through a stem 46 raise a flapper 34 to decrease the pressure of the supply to the chamber until equilibrium is reached. The apparatus is now ready to receive another input signal. The spring may be adjusted by a screw 45 and the vent by a needle valve 52. The chamber containing the spring 44 may be connected to the inlet 24 and maintained at constant pressure.
