Cables 4 individually connectible by means of slip-on contact sleeves 6 to connector pins 7 extending radially from electric discharge tube envelope 1 are each anchored in position adjacent their contact sleeves by a grip 8 on common mounting band 9. Preferably, as shown in Fig. 2, the contact sleeve comprises a slotted section 20 of smaller bore than the connector pin and having a helical wire 23 wound around.
