1,162,650. Electric couplings. FIRTH CLEVELAND FASTENINGS Ltd. 17 Oct., 1967 [17 Oct., 1966], No. 46373/66. Heading H2E. A connecting tag is formed from a strip 1 of metal, e.g. stainless steel which may be bent at right angles at a mid-point and which has an aperture 2 with slots 5 which define prongs which are bent up slightly out of the plane of the strip so as to be capable of being pushed on to a cylindrical terminal post. The aperture 2 may be of alternative shape, e.g. polygonal, to provide corners to engage the post. The edges of the wider part of the strip are bent up to form stiffening flanges. The periphery of the hole 3 is corrugated to increase its effective thickness.
