Abstract
1,162,636. Synchronous movements. SATCHWELL CONTROLS Ltd. 5 April, 1967 [14 April, 1966], No. 16478/66. Heading H2L. In a monitoring system, a motor 1 is located at a remote station and drives a permanent magnet assembly adjacent to reed switches 2, 3, 4, which are actuated in sequence. Motor 8 is located at a central control room and actuates switches 9, 10, 11 in sequence. If a detector switch 5 closes, a circuit is completed through switches 2, 9, and line 20 to indicator assembly 12 which is maintained energized through contact 15 until the detector associated with the switch 5 is monitored again. This procedure is repeated with other detector switches 6 and 7. The motors are kept in synchronism by vibrating switches 18, 19, the motor 8 being deenergized, if the motors fall out of step, until synchronism is re-established. In a modification, the switches 2-4 and 9-11 are replaced by magnetically operated reed switches having two pairs of contacts.
