Abstract

1,162,363. Windscreen wipers. MAGNATEX Ltd. 22 Nov., 1966 [10 Nov., 1965], No. 47814/65. Heading A4F. A windscreen wiper blade is connected to a wiper arm by a connector comprising two plastics elements 2 and 3, the element 3 being provided with a cavity bounded by two resilient end walls having aligned apertures 9 therein and the other element 2 consisting of a block having pins 4 projecting from opposite faces thereof, the two elements 2, 3 being so connected together by pushing the block into the cavity until the pins 4 engage with the apertures 9 that the elements 2, 3 can rock relative to each other about the axis of the pins 4. The element 3 which may be pivotally connected to or integral with the wiper arm is provided with slots 10 to allow flexing of the end walls of the cavity when the two elements are assembled together and the element 2 may be pivotally connected to the wiper blade member 1.
