Abstract

1,161,331. Silver salt diffusion process. W. ZINDLER [trading as LUMOPRINT ZINDLER K.G.]. Oct. 20, 1966 [Nov. 17, 1965], No.47096/66. Heading G2C. In the silver salt diffusion process, the exposed negative silver halide emulsion element is moistened with a developing liquid, a paper, film or textile receiving material is moistened an aq. soln. containing platinum and/or gold as substances forming reduction nuclei and a silver salt solvent, and the two sheets are immediately compressed together. The solution for the receiving sheet may contain 0À02% hexachloroplatinic acid and/or 0À02% auric chloride hydrochloride, sodium thiosulphate and a wetting agent. The transfer and receiving materials may be passed through baths of their respective solns. and then passed between compression rollers.
