Abstract
1,160,787. Chairs combined with ladders. P. J. R. GUY. 20 Oct., 1967 [26 Oct., 1966], No. 47795/67. Heading A4H. [Also in Division A6] A step-ladder comprising fixed legs 3, a top step 2, and pivoting steps 6 is converted into a baby's chair by clipping on a back 7 and side members 8, detachable arm rests 15 and a pivotable tray 20. The pivoting steps 6 are retained in the position shown by a hook 29, and wires 28 provide a foot-rest. A catch 10 (Fig. 3, not shown) is pivotally attached to the step 2 and carries a pivoting ring 12 which can be snapped over a hook 13 fixed to a horizontal member 14 at the base of the chair back. The tray 20 is pivoted on a lug 19a (Fig. 2, not shown) on a collar 19 keyed to the arm rest 15, and carries a pin 24 which can be engaged in a hole 27 in the other arm rest.
